The Wine Road for Prosecco and the Wines from the Hills of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene, constituted in 2003, is a development of Italy’s first Wine Road, set up in 1966 in this very some area.
Today its path follows for the most port that or the original route, to which themed itineraries have been added, highlighting the natural beauty of the various vineyard districts as well as the many places of historical and artistic interest that ore to be found in the zone.
The Prosecco Road posses through the entire production area for Prosecco di Conegliono-Valdobbiadene as well as that of the Colli di Conegliano D.O.C.
Its route tokes the tourist on a voyage of discovery through the hills that produce the area’s finest wines. Here one can visit the many wineries that are set up for welcoming tourists, with explanations of the production process and tastings of their products.
This is on area of castles, villas, monuments, ancient thermal springs, parish churches and abbeys. Every commune in the zone offers natural, artistic and architectural treasures, as well as restaurants, treasures and typical wine bars, where one can always enjoy a glass of D.O.C. Prosecco together with some of the delicious local gastronomic specialities.
The area also offers tourists a large number of hotels, bed & breakfasts, guest rooms and farms with accommodation, many of which are situated in the heart of the countryside and where one can enjoy a short holiday in the relaxing environment of the area’s gentle hills.
